A Faster MacBook, but same old MacBook Pro
Apple released their faster MacBook today, but there is no mention of a change in the MacBook Pro line. Over the past 4 years I have been slowly convinced by my co-workers that an Apple is the best way to go, especially in my line of work.
With in the past month, my wife and I decided to get a MacBook Pro, but we were going to wait until the new version was released. I heard rumors about something new coming out very soon and I have been getting excited lately. Unfortunately I was disappointed when I loaded the Apple website today and found that it was the regular MacBook line that was now faster.
Does anyone know when the new top-of-the-line MacBooks Pros are coming out? We are looking at getting the 17 inch.

On apple.com / macbookpro, they showcase the “new” mac book pro with an option to buy. The sales page displays the 15 & 17″ versions, are these not the latest versions?
If not it might explain why they are such a seal at the low low price of $2,799.00 !!!

I agree Simon. It is somewhat false advertising by saying these are the new MacBook Pros. They are the only MacBook Pros and they have been out since Oct. 24, 2006. www.mactactic.com is a great site to keep an eye on when to buy and when not to buy Mac products.
