HoustonStartupWeekend to launch TipDish
44 hours have passed since 30 talented Houstonians sat down at Stagshead Pub to pitch ideas for an online startup company that could be built in one weekend. As we near the end of Houston Startup Weekend, I can feel the juices of excitement running through my bones. People are in a scurry to get everything hammered out before the nearing launch time.
The new webapp is called TipDish. It is an online directory of social media types that Media/PR companies can access to send out press releases. Currently, there is no easy way for Media companies to focus their press releases to topic-related bloggers and social media types but this tool will solve the issue.
I was working on the User Experience/Business Development team with Marco Ramirez, Marcus Mateus, and Ramesh Bhaskar.
A temporary interface is already available at tipdish.com, but you can expect to see something a little prettier in the next week or two.

That sounds like it was a really exciting event. I wish that I was plugged into similar gatherings here in San Diego. I love start-ups but the problem is that they usually require a right time right place for you to be in the right seat.
I’ll continue to check out Tipdish, good luck with it!
